Uttarakhand Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj said on Thursday that a special prayer will be held at the Badrinath shrine on May 8 in the name of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, President Droupadi Murmu, to honour the success of Operation Sindoor.
He praised the Army’s swift and strategic response to the Pahalgam attack, calling it a powerful reply delivered by all three wings of the armed forces. Drawing a parallel with ancient tales, Maharaj likened the operation to Hanuman’s legendary strike in the Treta Yuga and said that, like Balakot, this mission showcased India’s ability to destroy terrorist hideouts across the border with precision.
He stated that the operation reflects not only the courage and coordination of the Indian military but also pays tribute to the dignity and strength of Indian womanhood, symbolised by the President’s leadership. He congratulated the armed forces for making the nation proud with their valour and strategic brilliance.
