The Pradesh Congress Committee vice president Suryakant Dhasmana has said that the Bharatiya Janata Party government of the State is trying to hide its failures under the urban naxal rhetoric and the party will expose this rhetoric. Interacting with the media persons at the headquarters of the State Congress on Saturday, Dhasmana said that the State government should inform about the kingpin of the urban naxal gang which it claims is active in the State.
He said that the Union Home minister Amit Shah has claimed that the naxalism in India has almost ended in the country but in the wake of the claim made by the Uttarakhand government, the Home ministry should inform about the action it has taken to deal with naxalism in Uttarakhand. He said that if the claim of the Uttarakhand government about urban Naxalism is correct then it is very serious because the State shares boundaries with China, Tibet and Nepal.
Dhasmana said that unemployment is at its peak in the State but the State government is misleading the people by claiming that more than 26,000 youngsters were given government jobs by it. He said that the State government should come out with a white paper on government jobs given by it in the last four and half years. The government should provide department wise data in its white paper.
He said that last year the Supreme Court had directed the State government to follow the equal wage for equal work in the Uttarakhand Purva Sainik Kalyan Nigam Limited (UPNL) case but the State government has not taken any action on the issue yet. Dhasmana said that the cases of crime against women in the State have increased and the people affiliated with the ruling party are involved in these cases.
He said that the law and order situation in the State is in shambles and the Health services are in bad shape. The disaster management system has failed and the paper leak cases have exposed the system of recruitment examinations.
