Chief spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress Garima Dasauni has said that the Congress party has decided to answer the divisive politics of ruling Bharatiya Janata Party with a politics of unity and cohesion. She said that the new team of the Congress party is very experienced and the party high command has fielded it after extensive research and consultation. Dasauni said that the BJP engages in the politics of Kumaon versus Garhwal, Hills versus Plain and other such issues but now every worker of the Congress party is alert on the issue.
Terming newly appointed Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Ganesh Godiyal, head of the Campaign Committee Pritam Singh, Election Management Committee chairman Harak Singh Rawat, leader of opposition Yashpal Arya and deputy leader of Congress legislature party Bhuwan Kapdi as five Pandavs of Congress, Dasauni said that these leaders will defeat the BJP in the State. She averred that the change in Congress organisation is a symbol of new energy, unity and faith and added that the people of the State are now fed up with the false promises and corruption of BJP.
