Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted a surprise inspection of Dalanwala Police Station in Dehradun on Friday evening. Irked over the absence of the Station House Officer, the CM directed the authorities to attach him at the Police lines.  The sudden arrival of the CM in the station created a stir among the staff and those present.

During the inspection, the CM interacted with several complainants present at the police station and listened seriously to their grievances. He instructed police personnel that complaints should be registered not as a mere formality but as a responsibility and that their immediate, impartial and effective resolution must be ensured.

Dhami also visited the Women Help Desk and interacted with women complainants to understand their issues. He emphasized that sensitivity, confidentiality and prompt action in matters related to women’s safety are mandatory, and warned of strict action in case of any laxity.

On a stern note, the CM said that any level of negligence in sensitive responsibilities like law and order and public service is an unpardonable offence and warned that such cases will invite immediate and stringent action.
