Police started investigation after a man with heart ailment died during arguments at his residence in Nagar Kotwali area of Dehradun. His family sources said that he had collapsed on April 6 during arguments with an outsider who had barged into his home at Shivaji Marg, Kanwali Road. He was rushed to a hospital and later died. His wife, Lajwanti then filed an FIR at Kotwali Nagar police station on Thursday.
Lajwanti stated in her complaint that a man named Rahul had entered their house with a sharp weapon to fight with her tenant. When her husband, Itwari, had tried to resist him, Rahul allegedly abused and threatened him with the weapon. Itwari, a heart patient, suddenly collapsed. He was taken to a hospital where he died. The complainant also alleged that even after the incident, Rahul’s family members continued to threaten her and her family.
The police station in-charge said that the complaint has been received and the matter is being investigated.
