A man allegedly hacked his wife to death amidst a domestic quarrel on Saturday in Pal Mohalla, Jolly Grant. The woman later succumbed at Himalayan Hospital in Jolly Grant. Police arrested the husband identified as Gopal (39) and recovered the weapon used in the crime. After her death, the police registered a case under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Police said that Gopal had stabbed his wife, Pratima in the stomach, leaving her seriously injured.
The accused was produced before the court and sent to jail as per judicial orders.
