Citing a research published in the peer-reviewed international journal, Frontiers in Clinical Diabetes and Healthcare, Acharya Balkrishna said that it clearly endorses Patanjali’s view that diabetes can be combated not just through insulin therapy but through a multi-pronged approach which encompasses yoga, pranayama, meditation, ayurveda, naturopathy, balanced diet and lifestyle changes among others. “The Patanjali-associated scientists, through their long-drawn and comprehensive research, have ushered in a new thinking on the origins of diabetes and the effective means of combatting it. The world is veering round to the same view now,” he said.
He further said that the published research was based on the detailed analysis of 612 papers presented by Patanjali. Notably, all these researches had been conducted under his guidance. “It is a matter of pride for us that now, science is supporting the view which Patanjali Wellness has been propagating for years,” he said.
Referring to the Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus, also called Juvenile Diabetes, he said that it is undoubtedly a lifestyle-induced disease. “As far as Idiopathic diabetes or Type 1 B Diabetes is concerned, one in five children worldwide afflicted with this disease is found in India,” he commented and urged all to embrace a comprehensive therapy to mitigate and even eliminate its corroding effects on body instead of banking on insulin therapy alone.
