Uttarakhand government has declared a three day state mourning on the death of former chief minister major general (retd) Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri.
As a mark of respect to the departed leader the State government has also decided that all the offices of the State will remain closed on May 20, the day of his funeral. The funeral of Khanduri will be done with state honour.
During the period of mourning, the national flag in all the offices will fly at half-mast and there will be no official entertainment programme during this period (May 19 to 21).
