Century Pulp and Paper Mill management agreed to provide financial assistance of Rs nine lakh to the next of kin of the contract worker who had died while on duty. Besides, a member of his family would be provided a permanent job as per the agreement reached between the company’s management, the labour union and the deceased worker’s family The vice president, Century Pulp and Paper Mill, Naresh Chandra shared these details here on Wednesday.
Notably, 34-year-old Mohan Ram, a resident of Bindukhatta, had fallen unconscious while working at around 4:15 PM on Tuesday. He had been rushed to Sushila Tiwari Hospital, Haldwani, where the doctors declared him dead.
