As per an order issued by the chancellor of G B Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (retd), who is also the governor of the State, the vice-chancellor Shivendra Kumar Kashyap has been given the additional charge of the VC of Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Uttarakhand Horticulture and Forestry University, Bharsar, Pauri Garhwal.
The order issued from Lok Bhawan states that the extended term of the current VC of Bharsar University, Parvinder Kaushal ended on June 15. Additionally, Bhagwati Prasad Bhatt, currently serving as the officer on Special Duty at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi, has been appointed as the VC. Until he assumes office, Kashyap has been given this additional responsibility to ensure the university runs smoothly in the interim period.
