During the joint annual training camp organised by 79 UK Battalion NCC Nainital at Sainik School Ghorakhal
the Yuva Aapda Mitra training programme was held
The training was provided by a team from the SDRF Battalion Company, Raj Bhavan, Nainital, under the guidance of the master trainer Naveen Chandra.
The cadets received practical training in search and rescue, first aid, CPR, fire safety, wilderness survival techniques and resource management.
This programme developed disaster management, leadership skills and a sense of community service among the cadets.
As part of environmental conservation, the cadets participated in a tree-planting campaign, planting hundreds of locally grown species on the campus.
