UPES, State govt build AI-Ready Educator Ecosystem

DEHRADUN: UPES concluded the first batch of the AI Training programme for Educators of Uttarakhand, organised in partnership with the department of Higher Education, Uttarakhand. The three-day Faculty Development Programme was conducted by the Artificial Intelligence Transformation Office (AITO), UPES, and organised by the department of Social Outreach, UPES in Dehradun.

The programme was inaugurated in the presence of senior officials from the department of Higher Education, Uttarakhand, includingthe joint director, Sangeeta Gupta and assistant director Pramod Kumar Dobriyal.  

Speaking on the initiative, the vice- chancellor, UPES, Sunil Raisaid, “As part of this partnership with the Government of Uttarakhand, we will support faculty members from across the state with practical AI capabilities that can enrich teaching, research and student learning,” he said. Following the successful completion of the first batch, the Department of Higher Education, Government of Uttarakhand has shared the list of the second batch of 90 professors and assistant professors, who will undergo the training from 11 to 12 July.
