PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the officers of State administration to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution of every public complaint received on the CM Helpline 1905. He gave the direction during the review of the CM Helpline at the State secretariat on Thursday.

The CM said that the 1905 Helpline is an effective medium for quick resolution of the problems of the people of the State. On a stern note, he said that any kind of negligence or indifference in the resolution of complaints will not be tolerated and accountability will be ensured at every level.

Expressing displeasure over the large number of complaints regarding the Peyjal Nigam and the Jal Jeevan Mission, the CM directed the officers concerned to ensure the effective resolution of all pending complaints within a week.

He directed issuance of show-cause notices to officers whose response to complaints received on the helpline is zero per cent.

Dhami said that complaints that are not resolved within the stipulated time period should be regularly reviewed at the department head and district magistrate level. He directed that complaints converted to special close, demand, suggestion and other categories should also be seriously examined so that the resolution of any genuine complaint is not affected.

He directed that the DM at the district level, divisional commissioners at the divisional level and secretaries at the government level should ensure regular hearing and resolution of public problems through Samadhan Diwas on every Monday. He said that Samadhan Diwas should be developed as a platform for effective public service and should be regularly monitored.

In the meeting, the CM directed that employees should start receiving their pensions within the first month of retirement. He stated that any delay in this process would not be tolerated.
