To mark the holy month of Sawan, a medical camp, along with a bhandara, special puja and a cultural evening, was inaugurated at Venkateshwara University on Friday. The organisers said that this Kanwad Seva Bhandara and medical camp would continue uninterruptedly until Shivratri.
Inaugurating the programmes, the founder chairman of the Venkateshwara Group of Institutions, Sudhir Giri said that Mahadev holds the highest place among the Hindu deities. “He bestows on us knowledge, strength, wisdom and values,” he added.
Among the dignitaries present on the occasion were the pro-chancellor Rajeev Tyagi and vice- chancellor Krishna Kant Dave.
