Eklavya School students of Mahrawna & Kalsi meet President

Students from Eklavya Model Residential Schools in Chakrata, Mahrawna and Kalsi in Dehradun district visited Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. Five students from each school participated in the three-day educational tour held from August 28 to 30. According to officials, during the tour, the students met President Droupadi Murmu. They said that their interaction with her boosted their self-confidence and renewed their sense of dedication to the country.
During the tour, the students also visited various historical, educational and informative sites in New Delhi. This educational trip provided them with the opportunity to explore the country’s history, culture, democratic system and national heritage through hands-on experiences beyond the classroom and textbooks, officials noted.
The Dehradun district tribal welfare officer stated that such educational tours play a crucial role in the overall development and personality growth of students, as well as in expanding their national consciousness. “Visiting Rashtrapati Bhavan and meeting the President is not only a matter of pride for the students but will also serve as an important source of inspiration for their bright futures,” he added.
