On the instructions of the district election officer/district magistrate Nitin Singh Bhadauria, the deputy district election officer/ADM Kaustubh Mishra on Wednesday conducted the quarterly physical inspection of the (EVM and VVPAT) warehouse located at the district headquarters in the presence of representatives of recognised political parties as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India.
Mishra closely inspected the security arrangements, double lock system, fire fighting equipment, CCTV cameras, cleanliness and maintenance of the warehouse. He instructed the security personnel deployed to maintain strict vigil and strictly follow the security standards.
He later said that maintaining the security and transparency of the EVM warehouse as per the instructions of the Election Commission is the primary task. “To keep this process completely transparent, the seal and locking arrangements are checked in the presence of representatives of political parties,” he added.
