Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami celebrated his birthday with the children studying at the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (NIEPVD) in Dehradun on Wednesday.
He met the children with great warmth and interacted with them, encouraged them and spent time with them. The children looked excited and delighted to have the CM of the State among them. Dhami said that time spent with children gives life new energy and inspiration. “Every child has immense talent and potential. They should be given the opportunity, encouragement and confidence to thrive. Empowering persons with disabilities is not limited to government efforts alone, but is also a collective responsibility of society,’’ he said.
The CM added that with strong willpower, self-confidence and persistent effort, every challenge in life can be overcome. He encouraged the children to move forward toward their goals with full confidence and enthusiasm and wished them a bright future. CM’s wife Geeta Dhami, cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi and teachers of the institute were present on this occasion.
