Centre approves three rail services for Haridwar

In a major boost to rail connectivity in Uttarakhand, the Centre has approved three rail services for Haridwar. Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for the extension.

According to officials, the Railway Ministry has approved the extension of Bandra Terminus-Delhi Sarai Rohilla Garib Rath Express to Haridwar as well as the Haridwar-Veraval AC Express and Haridwar-Okha AC Express. Vaishnaw provided this information to the CM in a letter.

Dhami expressed gratitude for this important decision. He stated that improved rail connectivity plays a vital role in boosting Uttarakhand’s religious, tourism and economic activities. With the support of the Central government, rail services are continuously expanding in the State. This will provide convenience to pilgrims, tourists, businessmen, students and general travellers visiting the State, he said.
