Four-day free Yoga camps organised in five villages of the Bahadrabad area by the University of Patanjali concluded on Sunday. The objective of the camps was to spread Yoga, Ayurveda and Indian Sanatan knowledge to the masses. The objective of this public awareness campaign was to make the rural community aware of Yoga, Pranayama, Ayurveda and a holistic lifestyle, and to spread the health and life philosophy of the Indian Rishi tradition to every section of society. These camps received special direction and encouragement from the university’s vice-chancellor Sadhvi Devpriya and the guidance of Swami Aarshdev.

The camps were held at Adarsh Inter College in Kherli village, Vatsalya Vatika in Bahadrabad, the new Panchayat Bhawan in Ahmedpur, Arya Inter College in Bongla and the Arya Samaj Mandir in Ruhalki. The camps provided information on Yoga and health to the villagers. Students led the villagers through various Yoga postures, introduced them to the correct methods of Pranayama, the important points of acupressure and the benefits of Ayurveda. They encouraged them to maintain physical health, mental balance and a positive lifestyle through regular Yoga practice. University representatives said that the main objective of this campaign was to present Yoga as a holistic and balanced way of life, not just a physical exercise. With this vision in mind, the students inspired villagers to adopt Yoga, Pranayama and healthy habits into their daily lives.

The active participation of the local community contributed to the smooth and effective conduct of the camps. This initiative also provided students with an opportunity to present their acquired knowledge in a practical way to society. The camps concluded with a Yajna, mantra chanting and a collective resolution.
