In protest against the incidents of rape and murder in Hathras and Balrampur in Uttar Pradesh (UP), the Uttarakhand Congress would hold mute protests in all parts of the state on Monday. The Vice President of Uttarakhand Congress Surya Kant Dhasmana said that the Congress leaders and workers would hold ‘Satyagrah’ near statues of Mahatma Gandhi and Baba Sahab B R Ambedkar in all district headquarters and cities. He said that in the provisional state capital Dehradun, ‘Satyagrah’ would be held at Gandhi Park at 10.30 am under the leadership of Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President Pritam Singh.
