To provide timely treatment to those suspected patients who might get tested positive for Covid-19 while observing recommended home isolation, the Dehradun district magistrate, Ashish Kumar Srivastava has instructed the chief medical officer (CMO) and the doctors of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rishikesh to prepare a questionnaire to get details about the health of such people. Srivastava informed that the updated information of suspected patients will help the administration to know about the patient’s health condition regularly and in case anyone needs Covid treatment, they would be brought immediately to the hospital. According to him, if the suspected patients get treatment at the right time, it will surely decrease the number of deaths caused due to delayed treatment of Covid-19 in the district.
He said that the CMO and the doctors of AIIMS have been directed to prepare a questionnaire while coordinating with each other in order to get regular updates of people under home isolation. Meanwhile, he also instructed officials concerned to put asthma patients under surveillance and provide them immediate treatment if they show any Covid symptoms as they are more vulnerable to get sick during winters.
Besides, the DM also instructed all the sub divisional magistrates (SDMs) to spread awareness in their respective areas in the district for the prevention of Covid-19 and ensure that all the protocols are followed by locals. He asked the SDMs to raise public awareness by installing hoardings in public places, placing banners and distributing pamphlets in the colonies of their respective areas.
