Covid-19 counts climbs to 52329 in U’khand

338 new cases, eight deaths and 600 recoveries on Tuesday

The number of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) affected patients in Uttarakhand mounted to 52329 on Tuesday with the state health department reporting 338 fresh cases of the disease. Death of eight patients of Covid-19 was reported on the day which increased the death toll to 677 in the state. The health department discharged 600 patients of the disease from different hospitals of the state on the day after their recovery. A total of 42968 patients have so far got cured from the disease and the percentage recovery for Covid-19 in the state climbed to 82.11 percent. Out of the total samples tested 7.13 percent have tested positive. The doubling rate of the disease for Uttarakhand is 61.05 days.

Two patients of Covid-19 were reported dead at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh on Tuesday. A similar number of deaths were reported at Sushila Tiwari government hospital, Haldwani and Synergy hospital Dehradun on the day. One patient each was reported dead at Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital and Mahant Indiresh hospital.

 Out of the 600 patients discharged on Tuesday, 262 belonged to Dehradun, 160 from Haridwar, 73 from Nainital, 37 from Pauri, 21 Rudrapryag, 16 from Tehri, 12 from Pithoragarh, six from Udham Singh Nagar, four each from Chamoli and Uttarkashi, three from Bageshwar and two from Almora.

The authorities found 123 fresh cases of the disease from Dehradun, 55 from Haridwar, 39 from Udham Singh Nagar, 32 from Uttarkashi, 20 each from Nainital and Pithoragarh, 19 from Bageshwar, nine from Chamoli, eight from Rudraprayag, seven from Pauri and three each from Champawat and Tehri. The state now has 8414 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district with 2611 active cases is at top of table while Haridwar with 1479 active cases is on second spot while Udham Singh Nagar with 667 cases is at third spot. With 121 active patients of Covid-19 Bageshwar district is at the bottom of the table.
