Covid-19: Recovery rate jumps past 85% in U’khand

Only 296 fresh cases reported on Monday
Riding on increasing recovery and fewer number of fresh Covid-19 cases, the recovery rate in Uttarakhand jumped past 85 percent mark on Monday. The Infection Rate (IR) which is another important factor in gauging the contagion too is going down in the state. The state now has a recovery rate of 85.47 and IR of 6.88 percent. However the disease is continuing to scare with its high fatality rate in the state. On Monday death of 15 patients of the disease was reported which increased the death toll to 762. On the day, 296 patients of the disease were reported by the state health department which increased the patient count to 55347 in the state. The authorities discharged 664 patients from different hospitals of the state after their recovery from the disease. A total of 47306 patients have so far recovered from the disease.
At All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh death of five patients of Covid-19 was reported on Monday. Similarly death of four patients each was reported from Sushila Tiwari Government Hospital, Haldwani and Himalayan hospital, Dehradun. Two patients of Covid-19 succumbed to death at CMI hospital Dehradun on the day.
The health department reported 108 fresh cases of Covid-19 from Dehradun, 31 each from Champawat and Nainital, 26 from Haridwar, 23 from Uttarkashi, 19 from Almora, 16 from Udham Singh Nagar, 12 from Pauri, 10 from Pithoragarh, nine from Chamoli, six Rudraprayag, four from Bageshwar and one from Tehri on Monday. The state now has 6976 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district with 2059 active cases is at top of table while Haridwar with 1183 active cases is on second spot. Nainital has 720, Udham Singh Nagar 536, Tehri 460, Pauri 451, Uttarkashi 408, Chamoli 279, Pithoragarh 238, Rudraprayag 208, Champawat 173, and Almora 133 active cases of the disease. With 128 active cases of Covid-19, Bageshwar now is at bottom of the table of active cases in Uttarakhand.
