CM grants approval for a slew of works

Chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has granted approval to the proposal for the reconstruction of the Lacchiwala nature park in Dehradun. This project will be executed in two stages at an estimated cost of Rs 1008.35 lakh. A sum of Rs one crore is also provisioned under the Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) for this purpose.

Apart from this, the chief minister has also granted financial approval of Rs 306.42 lakh for improvement and tarring of the Patisain-Tachwad-Ekeshwar motor road in the Ekeshwar block of Chaubattakhal Assembly constituency in Pauri district along with Rs 28.04 lakh for construction of motor road from Kot to Hunn via Chauthara in Ghansali Assembly constituency. Along with this, as part of the CM’s announcement, Rs 17.24 lakh financial approval has also been granted for construction of Molkhandi Akari and Molkhandi Sakri motor road in Jaiharikhal block.

In addition to these approvals, the chief minister has also approved a total sum of Rs three lakh for the marriages of the grand daughters of six freedom fighters in Dehradun, Pauri, Uttarkashi and Bageshwar districts. With this, each of the six applicants will receive a sum of Rs 50,000.

Further, Rawat has also granted administrative approval of Rs 928.55 lakh for Uttarakhand Open University, Haldwani, guest house, vice chancellor’s residence and furniture fixing for multipurpose hall. This amount will be spent by the university from its own resources.
