Covid-19 count mounts to 63,585 in U’khand
Five deaths, 388 fresh cases of the disease reported on Wednesday
The number of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) patients in Uttarakhand increased to 63585 on Wednesday with the state health department reporting 388 fresh cases of the disease. The department also reported the death of five patients of the disease which increased the death toll to 1038 in the state. The authorities discharged 270 patients of the disease after their recovery on the day. A total of 58221 patients have so far recovered from the disease in the state. The recovery percent of Covid-19 in the state is now at 91.56 and the sample positivity rate is at 5.96 percent.
Three patients of Covid-19 were reported dead at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh on Wednesday. One patient of the disease each succumbed to the disease at Sushila Tiwari government hospital, Haldwani and HNB base hospital Srinagar.
Out of 270 patients discharged on the day, 86 belonged to Dehradun.
The authorities reported 121 patients from Dehradun, 40 each from Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar, 37 from Pauri, 36 from Nainital, 25 from Chamoli, 24 from Rudraprayag, 23 Pithoragarh, 14 from Almora, 11 Bageshwar, seven each from Tehri and Uttarkashi and three from Champawat district on Wednesday.
Uttarakhand now has 3818 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district with 638 active cases is at top of table while with 469 active cases Pauri district is on second position. Nainital has 448, Haridwar 445, Udham Singh Nagar 320, Rudraprayag 287, Tehri 274, Chamoli 223, Pithoragarh 200, Uttarkashi 191, Almora 112 and Champawat 108 active cases of the disease. With 103 active cases of Covid-19, Bageshwar is now at the bottom of the table.
