Covid-19 toll climbs to 1075 in U’khand
10 deaths, 398 fresh cases reported on Monday
The novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) took toll on the lives of ten patients on Monday in Uttarakhand. The disease has so far taken 1075 lives in the state. The state health department also reported 398 fresh cases of the disease on Saturday after which the tally of the disease has mounted to 65677 in the state. On the day the department also declared 205 patients of the disease cured. A total of 59924 patients have so far recovered from the disease in the state. The recovery percentage from the disease in the state is now at 91.24 percent and the sample positivity rate is 5.86 percent.
Deaths of two patients of Covid-19 were reported on Monday at CMI hospital Dehradun. A similar number of patients were reported dead at Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital Dehradun and Himalayan hospital Dehradun. One patient each was reported dead at Mahant Indiresh hospital, Dehradun, Base hospital Srinagar, District hospital Bageshwar and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh on Monday.
The department reported 90 fresh cases of the disease from Dehradun, 61 from Pauri, 57 from Chamoli, 46 from Nainital, 32 from Almora, 31 from Udham Singh Nagar, 26 from Pithoragarh, 20 from Rudraprayag, 11 from Bageshwar, nine from Haridwar and five from Tehri on Monday.
Uttarakhand now has 4149 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district with 815 active cases is at top of table while with 562 active cases Pauri district is on second position. Haridwar has 469, Nainital 413, Rudraprayag 330, Chamoli 318, Tehri 228, Udham Singh Nagar 235, Almora 180, Pithoragarh 179, Uttarkashi 177, and Bageshwar 123 active cases of the disease. With 120 active cases of Covid-19, Champawat is now at the bottom of the table.
