Technical glitch in DSCL portal to be resolved by November 25
Due to a technical glitch in the Dehradun Smart City Limited (DSCL) portal, those who have registered in the portal as volunteers for the district literacy campaign will have to wait for two more days to get the response from the administration.
Many locals who have applied to be volunteers in Padho Doon Badho Doon campaign of Dehradun district administration stated that it has been over a monthsince they applied and they are yet to receive any response from the administration. It will be recalled that about 35,000 people in the district were found out to be illiterate in the survey done by Anganwadi workers and the chief development officer (CDO) Nitika Khandelwal had informed that the district administration has already educated people in 11 Gram Panchayats so far with the help of the volunteers. Regarding the issue of no acknowledgement to some applicants who registered in the portal to be volunteers, Khandelwal had said that there was some glitch in the DSCL website which would be resolved soon but the issue still persists in the portal. Several volunteers are still waiting for the response of the district administration. Talking about the issue in the website, the public relations officer (PRO) of DSCL, Prerna Dhyani stated that the site was under maintenance for past few days and though most of the maintenance work is done, there are still some glitches in the site which will be sorted out completely by November 25. As per the officials, there are about 60 volunteer registrations so far and the eligible applicants will be accepted as volunteers once the issue gets resolved. It is pertinent to mention here that any educated person can apply to be a volunteer for the literacy campaign at https://dsclservices.org.in/volunteer.php as there is no age bar.
