ART centre starts at Himalayan hospital, Jollygrant

For treatment and care of AIDS patients, Anti Retroviral Therapy (ART) centre has started operating at the Himalayan hospital Jollygrant. The centre was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor (VC) of the Himalayan University, Vijay Dhasmana. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the centre would be beneficial for the HIV patients of Uttarakhand and nearby states. He said that the hospital is continuously upgrading facilities to provide quality treatment to the patients.

The Chief Medical Officer of the hospital, Dr S L Jethani said that the hospital already has as ICTC centre for HIV testing. He said that a need for the ART centre was being felt for a long time so that the patients found positive in ICTC centre can be treated.

In charge of the ART centre, Dr Garima Mittal said that the medicines for treatment of patients are available and efforts would be made for arrangement of kit for CD -IV test.
