CM hospitalised after experiencing fever
Chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat who had tested positive for Covid-19 about 10 days ago was admitted to the Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital here on Sunday. According to the chief minister’s media coordinator Darshan Singh Rawat, the CM who had been under home isolation experienced mild fever. As a precautionary measure, he was admitted to the GDMC hospital where some tests also had to be conducted on him. The chief minister’s wife and daughter who had also tested positive for Covid-19 are under home isolation. According to the hospital officials, the CM had been suffering from fever for the past two days and tests revealed minor chest infection. Doctors had recommended that he be placed under observation which was not possible at his residence due to which he was hospitalised. He is doing well.
It will be recalled that the chief minister and his family members had tested positive for Covid on December 18 and since then Rawat was staying in home isolation. He had participated in the recently held winter session of the Vidhan Sabha virtually and had also addressed gatherings on other occasions via the virtual mode.
