Dhan Singh Rawat unveils PIF Calendar
The state minister for higher education and Cooperatives, Dhan Singh Rawat released ‘Baramas-2021’ the calendar of Pen India Foundation (PIF) on Tuesday. The calendar this year is dedicated to eminent personalities of Uttarakhand. Speaking on the occasion, Rawat said that including great personalities of Uttarakhand in the calendar is an appreciable effort. He said that the students and youth would be able to know about these personalities.
The patron of the foundation, Dr Prakash Keshaviah said that the Pen India Foundation is providing free and quality education to the poor children. He said that the objective of the foundation is to provide activity based education. The founder of PIF, Anoop Rawat and cofounder Santosh Budakoti said that the content of the calendar has been prepared after a lot of discussions with experts of media, culture and history. The PIF has included pictures and brief accounts on Bhakt Darshan Singh Rawat, Sundarlal Bahuguna, Swami Ved Bharti, Liladhar Jagudi, IPS Anil Dhasmana, Col ( retd) Ajay Kothiyal, Major General Smita Devrani, IAS Rajendra Bhushan Benjwal, folk singer Narendra Singh Negi, Sudha Painyuli, IAS Mangesh Ghildiyal and cricketer Ekta Bist.
