Newly appointed Chief Justice of Uttarakhand High Court Justice RS Chauhan was sworn in today.
At a ceremony held at Raj Bhawan Dehradun today, Uttarakhand Governor Baby Rani Maurya administered oath of office to Justice Chauhan. Earlier, Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Om Prakash read out the notification issued by President of India regarding transfer of justice Chauhan to Uttarakhand as chief justice.
Uttarakhand chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, Dehradun Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama, Speaker Premchand Aggarwal, Cabinet Ministers Madan Kaushik, Arvind Pandey and Subodh Uniyal were prominent among the audience at the five minute long ceremony.
