Covid-19: Six deaths, 120 new cases reported on Monday
Bageshwar, Pauri and Tehri report no case of the disease
The cumulative total of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) cases in Uttarakhand climbed to 94923 on Monday with the state health department reporting 120 new cases of the disease. The department also reported the death of six patients of the disease on the day after which the death toll mounted to 1617 in the state. The health department discharged 330 patients from different hospitals on Monday. A total of 89882 patients have recovered from the disease so far in the state. The recovery percentage from the disease is now at 94.69 and the sample positivity rate is 4.76 percent.
Two patients each of Covid-19 were reported dead at Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital and Mahant Indiresh hospital Dehradun on Monday. One patient each was reported dead at Sushila Tiwari government hospital Haldwani and District hospital Rudrapur on the day.
The health department reported 38 fresh cases of Covid-19 from Nainital, 36 from Dehradun, 23 from Haridwar, 10 from Udham Singh Nagar, four each from Almora and Uttarkashi, three from Chamoli and one each from Pithoragarh and Rudraprayag on Monday. Incidentally no patient of the disease was detected in Bageshwar, Pauri and Tehri districts on the day.
Out of 330 patients discharged on the day, 89 belonged to Dehradun, 49 each from Haridwar and Nainital, 38 from Udham Singh Nagar and 21 from Almora.
Uttarakhand now has 2136 active cases of the disease. Dehradun is at continuing to remain at top of the table of active cases with 492 cases while with 394 active cases Nainital is at second spot. Haridwar is at third position with 279 cases, Almora has 161, Tehri and Bageshwar 135 each, Udham Singh Nagar 115, Chamoli 102, Pithoragarh 89, Uttarkashi 88, Pauri 78 and Rudraprayag 37 active cases of the disease. With only 31 active cases of Covid-19, Champawat is at the bottom of the table of active cases of Covid-19.
