Cong seeks extension of upcoming budget session
The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President Pritam Singh has said that the duration of the upcoming budget session at Gairsain should be extended.
Talking to the media persons at the Congress Bhawan here on Tuesday, he said that the last two sessions were of only one day and two days respectively. He said that the Congress party would do its best to raise the important issues during the session at Gairsain. The PCC president claimed that the Congress legislatures would try to remind the state government about the promises it made to the people of the state and the unfulfilled promises. Singh however added that the Congress parliamentary party under the leadership of Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Indira Hridayesh would take a final decision on the issues the party would take up during the session.
The budget session of Uttarakhand assembly at Bharadisain in Gairsain of Chamoli district is slated to be held from March 1 to 9. The budget would be presented on March 4.
