Lighting of Diyas and cultural event would mark the first anniversary of chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat’s declaration of Gairsain as the summer capital on Thursday. Addressing the media persons outside the assembly the speaker Prem Chand Aggarwal said that the occasion would be celebrated in a grand manner. “We have planned a cultural event followed by Deepotsav on Thursday. After the CM’s announcement last year both Diwali and Holi were celebrated. This year a Deepotsav would be held here. The budget would also be presented on the day which would double the enthusiasm,’’ Agarwal said.
It is worth mentioning here that immediately after tabling the budget on March 4, 2020 the CM had announced that Gairsain would be the summer capital.
