103182 people fully vaccinated in Uttarakhand
88 new cases of Covid-19 reported
In the ongoing vaccination drive 32299 people were vaccinated for the Covid-19 in different parts of the state on Thursday. In the state 103182 people have been fully vaccinated so far as they have received both the first and second dose of the vaccine. A total of 165638 senior citizens (60 Plus) have received the first dose of the vaccine in the state. Similarly 9251 persons in the age group of 45-59 years having co-morbidity have been vaccinated.
The Chief Operations Officer (COO) of state Covid-19 control room, Dr Abhishek Tripathi said that 436 vaccine sessions were organised in different parts of the state on Thursday. In Dehradun 86 vaccine sessions were organised in which 5272 senior citizens, 217 people with co-morbidity, 781 healthcare workers and 1413 frontline workers were vaccinated on the day.
Similarly 1568 senior citizens, 69 persons with co-morbidity, 345 health care workers and 2346 front line workers were vaccinated in 107 vaccine sessions in Haridwar district.
Meanwhile the state health department reported 88 new cases of the disease on Thursday which increased the tally of the disease to 98129. Death of no patient was reported by the department on the day. The disease has so far claimed 1704 lives in the state. The authorities discharged 61 patients from different hospitals of the state following their recovery on Thursday. A total of 94311 patients have recovered from the disease in the state so far and the recovery percentage is now at 96.11. The state health department reported 29 new cases of the disease from Dehradun, 23 from Haridwar, 15 from Udham Singh Nagar, six from Nainital, five from Tehri, four each from Almora and Pauri and one each from Bageshwar and Uttarkashi on the day. No new case was reported from Chamoli, Champawat, Pithoragarh and Rudraprayag districts on Thursday.
The state now has 698 active patients of the disease. Haridwar district is at the top of the table of active cases of the disease with 242 patients, Dehradun has 178, Nainital 94, Udham Singh Nagar 60, Pauri 39, Almora 22, Champawat 16, Tehri 15, seven from Rudraprayag, six each from Bageshwar and Pithoragarh and three from Chamoli.
