Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaaz launched the new website of Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) with a single window investment portal on Tuesday. Maharaaz said, “Technology is an important factor these days and Uttarakhand Tourism is committed to upholding this fact through its newly launched website. This website will bring ease to national and international tourists and will set a good example for others.”
He said that the website will help people in accessing every detail with a single click. The motive for this website is to put all required information in one place for quick consumption which will be regularly updated both in English and Hindi. He said that a separate tourism investor’s single window facilitation portal is also being launched which will promote the investment policy in Uttarakhand. This will enable the investors to gain information about highlights of the tourism profile in the state, incentives, and subsidies that can be availed from tourism policy 2018
Tourism secretary Dilip Jawalkar said, “The new website is more interactive and has facilities like live chatbot for on-the-spot communication, a list of guides, travel operators and itineraries in place for providing overall details to the visitors. We have also made sure that the content remains crisp and easy especially for the travelers. We are also focused that information regarding our popular and offbeat destinations covers a good part of the website.”
