The state in charge of Congress party Devendra Yadav accused the chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat of running away from the battle of Salt. In a statement released after a hectic tour of the assembly constituency where the by election is due, Yadav said that the Congress party had challenged the CM to contest from Salt so that the state is prevented from the burden of an additional by election but the CM preferred to run away from the field after seeing the report card of the four years of the BJP government.
Yadav accused the ruling BJP for misusing the government machinery and resources. He said that the workers of the Congress party are taking the failures of the BJP government at booth level in Salt and the Congress candidate would win the election. He added that the people of Uttarakhand are reeling under the price rise, unemployment and corruption in the state and the BJP government is engaging in exploiting people by closing the social welfare schemes started by the previous Congress government. Yadav said that the people of Salt would give a fitting reply to the state government in the upcoming by election. Yadav said that during the visit to the rural areas he found that Congress candidate is receiving big support and the people of Slat have made up their mind to send their daughter Ganga Pancholi to the state assembly.
