Former chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has said that the alleged fraud in the name of Covid-19 tests during the Kumbh Mela in Haridwar was akin to attempt to murder considering the pandemic. He said that he would ask the chief minister to get a judicial probe done into the matter.
“The time when this scam was orchestrated should also be brought out in front of the public. I welcome the chief minister’s statement. I demand that a thorough inquiry, a judicial probe if needed, be conducted into the matter to ascertain the truth,” said the former CM.
