Chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat directed officials to expedite the execution of announcements made for various Assembly constituencies in Dehradun district. Rawat said this chairing a review meeting along with former CM and Doiwala MLA Trivendra Singh Rawat, cabinet minister and Mussoorie MLA Ganesh Joshi, Pradesh Congress Committee president and Chakrata MLA Pritam Singh, Vikasnagar MLA Munna Singh Chauhan, Sahaspur MLA SS Pundir, Dharmpur MLA Vinod Chamoli, Raipur MLA Umesh Sharma, Rajpur MLA Khajan Das and Dehradun Cantt MLA Harbans Kapoor.
Granted approval to various proposals for improvement of internal roads, drinking water, tube well construction, flood protection and other works in all constituencies of Dehradun district, the CM directed officials to expedite their execution.
Rawat said that construction of roads should be speeded up in areas of Dehradun from where encroachment has been removed.
Secretary Shailesh Bagauli informed that government orders had been issued for 32 out of 45 announcements made by the CM in Mussoorie constituency. Similarly, government orders have been issued for five out seven announcements in Dehradun Cantt, 23 out of 25 in Vikasnagar, 19 out of 22 in Raipur, 11 out of 14 in Rajpur Road, 35 out of 41 in Chakrata, 34 out of 55 in Sahaspur, 19 out of 54 in Dharmpur, 187 out of 211 in Doiwala and 11 out of 25 in Rishikesh while action is underway for the remaining announcements.
