Shilpa Shetty will be appearing in a new age rendition of Chura Ke Dil Mera in Hungama 2. By Team Viva
Ever since the trailer for Hungama 2 has hit the internet, the reprise of Chura Ke Dil Mera has been creating a lot of excitement among the audience.
As per schedule, the song’s teaser would be dropping on the internet today. And eager fans across the nation have something to cheer for with the official music video, featuring Meezaan Jaffrey and Shilpa Shetty, releasing tomorrow.
Talking about the same, Shilpa said, “Chura Ke Dil Mera (CKDM) has been a milestone in my career. This song has always been special. Now CKDM 2.0 is finally coming out as part of this epic franchise comedy, I am nothing but thrilled. It was fun and a challenge recreating it after 25 years since the benchmark is so high. Hope the audience loves it as much as I did, dancing to the new version.”
In a similar vein, producer Ratan Jain expressed, “It is one of those iconic songs from the 90s that still strikes a chord with everyone. I hope this version of the song from our film will also resonate to a similar extent with the audience across the nation.”
Hungama 2’s Music Album will be released on Eagle Music. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film stars Meezaan, Shilpa, Paresh Rawal and Pranitha Subhash in the lead roles.
A Venus Records and Tapes LLP project, the film will premiere on Disney+Hotstar on July 23. Produced by Ratan, Ganesh Jain, Chetan Jain, and Armaan Ventures, the film also stars Ashutosh Rana, Manoj Joshi, Rajpal Yadav, Johnny Lever and Tiku Talsania in pivotal roles.
