It is pertinent to mention here that the CBSE in view of the increasing number of the Covid-19 cases in the country cancelled the board examination for class X which were slated from May 4. The board decided to declare the result on the basis of an objective criterion. In the assessment criteria, 10 marks were given for the performance in the unit test, 30 marks for half yearly examination and 40 marks for the pre board examination. For accuracy and fairness of the results, a committee consisting of eight members (Principal, five subject teachers and two external members) was set up in every school. Singh said that any candidate who is not satisfied by the allotted marks will be given an opportunity to appear in the examination as and when the conditions are conducive for holding the examination.
