In order to promote local industries and facilitate their work process, the Dehradun district magistrate R Rajesh Kumar has directed the district industries centre to prepare a web portal.
In the meeting of the District Udyog Mitra Committee on Thursday, members of the industries association discussed the issues associated with local industries with the DM through video conference. They asked Kumar to provide a rebate on various taxes like commercial property tax besides the taxes on water and electricity for those factories which were severely affected due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
They also demanded a rebate in the loan guarantee for the solar power projects in the district. Kumar assured the association members to convey these demands to the State administration. He also asked the general manager of the district industries centre to make a web portal to address the grievances of people associated with local industries immediately. Besides this, the DM also directed the municipal bodies to maintain sanitation in the industrial areas of Dehradun.
