The state health department reported only 18 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 46 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Sunday. No death from the disease was reported in the state on the day.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,42,392 while a total of 3,28,522 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state 7367 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is now at 95.95.
The state health department reported six new patients of Covid -19 each from Dehradun, two each from Haridwar, Nainital and Rudraprayag and one each from Almora, Champawat, Pauri, Tehri, Udham Singh Nagar and Uttarkashi districts on Sunday. No new patient was found in Bageshwar, Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts on the day.
The state now has 463 active cases of Covid 19. Dehradun with 191 cases is at top of the table of active cases while Pithoragarh is at second spot with 58 active cases. Chamoli has 52, Rudraprayag 32, Udham Singh Nagar 31, Champawat 26, Uttarkashi 18, Pauri 15, Bageshwar 13, Haridwar 10, Almora and Nainital six each and Tehri five active cases each of the disease.
The state reported two new cases of Mucormycosis (Black fungus) on Sunday. A total of 570 patients of the disease have so far been reported. In the ongoing vaccination drive 32,955 people were vaccinated on Sunday in 220 sessions held in different parts of the state.
