Asha & Anganwadi workers get Rs 1,000; free ride to all women in roadways buses on Rakhi day
The Asha and Anganwadi workers of the state would get a gift of Rs 1,000 on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. On the day, all women would be allowed free ride in the buses of Uttarakhand roadways. The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami made these announcements in a Rakshabandhan programme organised in Khatima on Thursday.
In the programme a large number of women belonging to the assembly constituency of CM tied Rakhis on the wrist of Dhami. Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that his government is following the mantra of ‘ Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’ and engaged in the works of public welfare. He said that the state government is getting energy from the love and affection bestowed by the sisters and mothers. Dhami said that schemes such as Ujwala, Swachchh Bharat Mission, Beti Bacho Beti Padhao, Sukanya Samridhi Yojana and others are being successfully organised and have brought improvement in the lives of women. He said that in view of the importance of online studies during the pandemic period the state government has decided to provide mobile tabs to students of classes X – XII. He said that the process of recruitment on 24000 vacant posts in different departments has started and the government is also trying to link youngsters with self employment. Dhami said that the bank officers have been directed to organise camps for providing easy loans to the youngsters for starting their own venture. He said that the economic package of Rs 119 Crore has been given to the women self help groups affected by the pandemic. He added that the stipend of the MBBS interns has been increased and a sum of Rs 50000 would be given to every student who appears in the mains examination of Civil services and NDA and CDS.
In the programme, the CM directed the officials that they should organise multipurpose camps and hold Tehsil Diwas programmes for speedy disposal of the problems faced by the people. He said that his government is working on the principle of Zero Pendency. Dhami claimed that the target of 100 per cent vaccination would be achieved in the next four months.
MLA Prem Singh Rana, district BJP president Shiv Arora, vice president Kisan Ayog Rajpal Singh, Inspector General (IG) Ajay Rautela, District Magistrate (DM) Ranjana Rajguru and others were present on the occasion.
