The state health department reported only 21 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 32 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Saturday.
Death of one patient of the disease was reported in the state on the day. The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,42,737 while a total of 3,28,990 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state 7377 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 95.99 while the sample positivity rate on Saturday was 0.15 per cent.
The state health department reported four new patients of Covid -19 from Pithoragarh, three each from Bageshwar, Dehradun and Nainital, two each from Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar and Rudraprayag and one each from Chamoli and Uttarkashi districts on Saturday. No new cases were reported from Almora, Champawat and Uttarkashi districts on the day.
The state now has 321 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 101 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Chamoli has 40 active cases. In the ongoing vaccination drive 76,894 people were vaccinated in 757 sessions in the state on Saturday.
