The state health department reported only 19 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 37 recoveries from the disease on Monday. No death from the disease was reported on the day in the state. The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,43,242 while a total of 3,29,495 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state, 7389 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 95.99 while the sample positivity rate on Monday was 0.12 per cent.
The state health department reported five new patients of Covid -19 from Chamoli, four from Uttarkashi, three from Dehradun, two each from Haridwar, Nainital and Pithoragarh and one from Rudraprayag district on Monday. No new cases of the disease were reported from the Almora, Bageshwar, Champawat, Pauri, Tehri and Udham Singh Nagar districts on Monday.
The state now has 293 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 148 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Pauri has 28 active cases. Tehri district has only one active case of the disease.
In the ongoing vaccination drive 65,379 people were vaccinated in 1043 sessions in the state held on Monday. As per the data of the state health department 70,39,895 people in the state have received the first dose of vaccine while 23,92,459 have received both doses of the vaccine.
