Pilgrims visiting Char Dhams should not face problems- CM to officers

Taking note of the complaints of problems faced by the pilgrims in the Char Dham Yatra, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the officials to ensure that the pilgrims and tourists don’t face any problems during the Yatra. He reviewed the Char Dham Yatra and the preparations at his camp office on Monday. CM said that every possible facility should be provided to the pilgrims and tourists so that they return back to their homes with a good message about Uttarakhand. On a stern note the CM said that any type of misconduct with the tourists and pilgrims would not be tolerated and said that if only one visitor faces any problem then as the Mukhya Sewak he would not be happy.
He directed the district magistrates (DM) and Police Superintendents of Rudraprayag, Chamoli and Uttarkashi districts who were connected via video conferencing in the meeting that good facilities for tourists should be ensured. He said that the pilgrims should be able to get the Darshan as per the guidelines without any problems. The CM also appealed to the pilgrims that only those who have received permission for Yatra after registering on the portal should go for the Yatra.
The chief secretary S S Sandhu, Director General (DG) Police Ashok Kumar, additional Principal secretary to the CM, Abhinav Kumar, secretary Dilip Jawalkar, Garhwal Commissioner Ravinath Raman, DIG Garhwal Niru Garg and additional secretary Yugal Kishore Pant were present on the occasion.
