Many associations demand removal of restrictions on Yatra

The confederation of different associations of tourism and Char Dham Yatra has demanded that the state government should remove the compulsion of an upper limit in the number of pilgrims visiting Char Dhams and take back the system of e- registration of pilgrims immediately.

Addressing media persons here on Monday the office bearers of different associations expressed their strong objections in the manner in which the Yatra is progressing. The convener of the confederation Abhishek Ahaluwalia said that the capping on the number of pilgrims should be removed as it is creating problems for everyone.

The president of Taxi -Maxi association Girish Bhatia demanded that the compulsion of trip cards should be removed. President of the tour operator association Vikram Rana said that in view of the prevailing complex process of registration it is very difficult to get packaged tours. The convenor of Char Dham Hotel association Pratik Karnwal said that the pilgrims are facing many problems in Yatra.
