A body was found below the Lacchiwala flyover in Doiwala on Thursday morning by some locals. The police arrived on the scene after receiving the information and identified the deceased as Brijpal Singh from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh on the basis of a photocopy of his Aadhaar card recovered from the body.
The police have also recovered a mobile phone through which the police contacted his son who works as a driver at Srinagar in Pauri district. The police informed that the deceased Brijpal Singh was a labourer who used to work for a contractor in Dehradun.
According to them, there were some visible injuries on his right hand and right side of his forehead. They said that the person appears to have died after falling down from the flyover late at night. The police are investigating the matter further.
