Says that the union govt has given in principle approval for Rs 6,000 Crore Dehradun – Tehri tunnel project
Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the state government is committed to bring Uttarakhand forward on the path of development. He was addressing a programme at the Ghantakarn temple in Narendranagar in Tehri on Friday. He said that the BJP government is working to fulfil the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and is committed to make Uttarakhand a leading state of the country.
The CM said that the union government has given in principle approval of Rs 8,000 crore project for construction of a tunnel between Dehradun and Tehri. He offered prayers at the Ghandiyal devta and sought prosperity of the state from the god. The CM inaugurated a statue of Thakur Bhagat Singh Sajwan in presence of Mata Mangla and Bhole Maharaaj on the occasion.
He also made a slew of announcements for the area. He said that a motor road of 4.5 km would be made for Ghantakarn temple and announced many other motor roads for the area. Dhami said that a Shiv Shakti Dhol Sanskriti Sangeet college would be set up in Ghansali. Mangla Mata said that the Hans foundation would provide a sum of Rs 25 lakh for construction of a Dharamshala in Ghantakarn temple.
